As Symmetra, predict flanker movements and employ your turrets to disrupt their actions. The automated turret attacks are particularly effective against low HP flankers. Place turrets strategically in side pathways to impede flankers' movements, providing your team with a tactical advantage.

Stay One Step Behind Tanks for Positioning

For optimal positioning as Symmetra, align yourself just behind tanks. Despite her short-range weapon, Symmetra lacks high HP or defensive abilities. It is advisable to remain behind tanks, contributing firepower to the front line while leveraging the protection offered by your tank allies.

Pharah as the Counter-Pick for Symmetra

Symmetra's primary weakness lies in her limited range for main attacks. Choosing Pharah as a counter-pick allows you to engage Symmetra from a distance where her primary attacks and Sentry Turret are ineffective.

Symmetra's main attacks are short-ranged, and her secondary attacks, while having a longer reach, move slowly. Exploit this by engaging her from a safe distance with heroes like Ashe or Widowmaker, making it challenging for Symmetra to counter.

Deploy behind cover

The Sentry Turret is better deployed behind cover. Once deployed, it will automatically attack enemies, but its durability is not high, so it can be easily destroyed if placed in a vulnerable location. By hiding it behind cover, it will be less likely to be destroyed, forcing the enemy to take actions to destroy it and creating an opportunity for your team.

Deploy on common enemy pathways

Deploy Sentry Turret on common enemy pathways. Each map has pathways that enemies always pass through, so it is recommended to deploy the turret in a way that obstructs their movement. When enemies pass through these pathways, the turret will react and attack them.

Teleporter

Assist Your Allies' Movements

Use the Teleporter to assist your allies' movements. With the Teleporter, even allies with limited mobility can easily flank or access high ground. It is also recommended to connect it from the respawn point to the frontline to make returning to the battlefield easier.

Teleportation is Not Limited to Allies

The Teleporter can be used to teleport not only allies but also turrets and other objects. During combat with enemies, you can connect the Teleporter behind them and move turrets to enable surprise attacks.

Create Divisions Between Enemies and Allies

Photon Barrier is designed to create divisions between enemies and allies. Successfully dividing them can block enemy attacks, providing an opportunity for allies to deal damage. As enemies attack beyond the barrier, it's crucial to defend against their assaults while navigating back and forth across the boundary line.

Activatable from the Respawn Point

Photon Barrier can be triggered from the respawn point. Once activated, the barrier forms irrespective of position or walls. Predict the ideal position based on the silhouette of your allies and activate it strategically. If time is running out or you're on the brink of defeat just before your ultimate ability charges, activating Photon Barrier can be a viable option.
