What is an Counter?

Choosing a character that can gain an advantage

Counter refers to choosing a character pick that can gain an advantage in terms of performance against enemy characters. It is important to understand the character rather than relying solely on skill, such as using a long-range character to deal damage against a close-range character or countering the enemy's ULT or Ability to nullify them.

Counter is necessary when at a disadvantage

If you are unable to suppress the enemy characters and find yourself in a disadvantaged situation, a counter becomes necessary. However, if you are unable to handle a certain character, it is also a good strategy to pick a character that you can handle comfortably.
