Adjustment to prioritize healing

Mercy's Regeneration no longer provides health regeneration over time, and instead, she is now able to restore her own health when healing allies. Healing allies, especially those on the brink of death, will become even more important in the future.

High support power for a single ally

Mercy has the highest support power for a single ally. Use attack power increasing buffs to increase individual recovery, protect allies with recovery, and defeat enemies with attack power increasing buffs.

The only one with Revival Ability

Mercy is the only character in Overwatch 2 with the Revive Ability. The cooldown and motion are long, so you need to be careful when using it, but it's a powerful ability that can cancel out the disadvantage in numbers, so use it if you have a chance.

Lowest attack performance of all characters

Mercy has the lowest attack performance of all characters. The only way to protect yourself is to use Guardian Angel to escape. If you get hit by damage, you'll be defeated immediately, so be sure to check the location of your allies so you can escape at any time.

Strategy Guide

Alternate between Healing and Damage Boost

Use Mercy's skills of healing and damage boost strategically. It's fine to use healing when your teammates are taking damage and their health is low, but once they are fully healed, switch to damage boost to contribute to a victorious outcome.

Prioritize Healing Tanks

As Mercy, prioritize healing tanks. If the tanks get taken down, it becomes difficult to maintain a strong frontline, resulting in your team's collapse. Therefore, focus on keeping the tanks alive to prevent such a situation.

Take Cover to Heal

When healing as Mercy, take cover behind obstacles. Mercy has the lowest offensive capabilities, so there's no benefit in exposing yourself to the enemy to heal. Instead, find a safe spot behind cover where you won't be attacked and support the team by healing from there.

Countermeasures

Anti-Pick Hero: Genji

One weakness of Mercy is her low offensive capabilities. Even flying her mobility is slow. Therefore, if you approach her with Genji, you can quickly deal damage and take her down.

Corner Mercy with High Mobility Heroes

Mercy has high single-target healing, so it's critical to prioritize taking her down. However, she can escape with the ability "Guardian Angel." Use heroes like Genji or Tracer who can easily catch up to fleeing Mercy and finish her off.

Fly through the sky and provide support together

Mercy is often targeted by enemies because she can provide healing and damage boost, but it's safe to fly with Pharah because she will attack for you. Moreover, from the sky, it's easier to keep track of your teammates' movements, allowing you to quickly approach allies with low HP.

Guardian Angel

Rush to the side of an ally in need of healing

Use Guardian Angel to rush to the side of an ally in need of healing. Mercy's healing cannot reach allies if they are too far away or obstructed by walls. Be mindful of your surroundings to ensure that you can provide healing and prevent your allies from being defeated.

Use it as an emergency escape

Use Guardian Angel as an emergency escape. Mercy lacks defensive abilities and has low offensive capabilities, making her a prime target for enemy attacks. Always keep track of your ally's positions so that you can quickly escape when targeted by enemies using Guardian Angel.

Resurrect

Actively revive fallen allies

With Resurrect, you can actively revive fallen allies. In Overwatch 2, creating a numerical advantage is crucial, and Resurrect can nullify the disadvantage by bringing back fallen allies. It is an important ability for turning the tide of battle, so revive allies proactively.

Check if there is line of sight

When using Resurrect, make sure there is no line of sight from enemies. It is the only ability that can revive allies and cover the numerical disadvantage, but it takes time to complete the revival. Be careful not to use it in a location where enemies have line of sight, as it may result in Mercy being killed.

Angelic Descent

Bird’s-eye view advantage to grasp battlefield and movements

Angelic Descent gives you a bird’s-eye view of the battlefield to keep track of movements made by both allies and enemies. This allows you to rush to aid allies in need of help.

Be cautious of Hitscan Characters

The downside of Angelic Descent is when Hitscan Characters are on the field. Mercy is slow when using Angelic Descent and becomes an easy target. If targeted, fly down immediately to your allies and escape.

【ULT】Valkyrie

Use it when allies are in a pinch

Use Valkyrie when allies' HP is depleted and they are about to be defeated. Valkyrie charges quickly and has good support capabilities to counter enemy ultimates. When allies are in trouble, activate it without hesitation to support the situation.

Unlimited ammunition for weapons

When Valkyrie is activated, the ammunition for the secondary weapon, Caduceus Blaster, becomes unlimited. You can freely fly around and continue shooting, which allows you to eliminate enemies on high ground, etc. However, don't forget that prioritizing the healing of allies is the most important.

[Technique] Vertical Jump

Master the vertical jump using Mercy's ""Guardian Angel"". The use of ""Guardian Angel"" for movement is vital for Mercy, who has low offensive capabilities, as it allows calm button inputs even when under enemy pressure during matches.
