When the grenades connect with enemies, they explode instantly, providing a relatively easier way to deal significant damage once you become accustomed to the mechanics.

Junkrat's primary weakness lies in the short range of his main attack. Pharah's ability to engage from the air, where Junkrat's attacks can't reach, positions her as an effective counterpick.

Snipe from a Distance

When facing Junkrat on the opposing team, opt for sniping from a distance. Junkrat's high firepower is offset by a lack of precision in targeting enemies. To deal with him safely, consider using Pharah to snipe from the air or Widowmaker, who excels at shooting from elevated positions.

Concussion Mine

Useful as a finishing blow

Concussion Mine is a useful finishing blow. Junkrat, who has difficulty dealing accurate damage to targeted areas, can easily land a hit with Concussion Mine because the timing of the explosion can be determined. Aim for weakened enemies and finish them off with the explosion.

Can be used as a means of movement

Concussion Mine can be used as a means of movement for more mobility. The knockback effect of the mine can also propel Junkrat, so if you detonate it while jumping on the placed mine, you can jump higher. It is recommended when you want to secure high ground or move quickly.

Effective for escaping from enemies

Concussion Mine is effective when escaping from enemies. It is difficult for Junkrat, who lacks mobility, to escape when approached by melee characters. However, if you explode the mine between you and the enemy, both the enemy and Junkrat can gain space between them. If you feel danger, use the mine immediately to create distance.

Steel Trap

Deploy in hard-to-see corners

It’s better to deploy Steel Trap in hard-to-see corners. It's a trap that is difficult for enemies to spot, but if Junkrat is around, they will also be wary of it and destroy it if it's placed in the middle of the road. It's recommended to place it in corners that are hard to notice and keep the enemy's movements in check.

Place together with Concussion Mine

It is recommended to place the Steel Trap together with the Concussion Mine. With the Steel Trap dealing 100 damage and the Mine dealing a maximum of 120 damage, you can get a long-range kill by detonating the Mine when it catches low HP support heroes or damage heroes.

【ULT】RIP-Tire

Detonate in the Center of Enemy Clusters

It's best when RIP-Tire detonates in the center where enemies are clustered. The damage decreases the farther you are from the explosion, but it can deal up to 600 damage. Even at a distance, it remains lethal, potentially eliminating enemies in a single shot. Target areas where enemies gather for a chance to secure multiple kills.

Sneak from Behind Enemies

Approach enemies from behind and trigger the RIP-Tire. While the tire can be controlled with flexible movements, be cautious as Junkrat loudly shouts upon activation, alerting enemies. It's advisable to employ wall climbing to approach from behind, as going straight from the front may result in immediate destruction.
