Sigma's Ultimate cost has been raised, limiting the frequency of immobilizing enemies. Previously, it was a potent Ultimate that lifted enemies into the air, dealing substantial damage upon landing. However, with the increased cost, strategic evaluation becomes crucial for engaging more enemies effectively.

Powerful Damage and Knockback with Rock

Sigma's Accretion is highly effective, delivering a powerful blow and knocking down opponents struck by the attracted rock. The rock has a relatively large hitbox, making it easier to connect with targets. Following up with your primary weapon against the knocked-down enemy can significantly deplete their HP.

Convenient Frontline Defense with Barrier

Sigma can deploy a shield similar to Reinhardt's, but unlike Reinhardt, Sigma retains the ability to attack while the shield is active. This unique feature allows Sigma to engage on the frontline without sacrificing overall firepower. However, it's crucial to note that the shield's HP is lower than Reinhardt's, requiring careful management.

Sigma's Hyperspheres are weapons that explode after a certain amount of time once launched, requiring some practice to grasp the explosion distance. Once you become familiar with this distance, you'll efficiently damage enemies and naturally learn to combine it with your shield.

Sigma's weapon detonates after a certain time, causing damage to enemies. Be mindful of the explosion distance of the weapon and adjust your fighting strategy accordingly. Since Accretion is the only method to damage beyond the main weapon's range, strategically deploy barriers and engage enemies within a range where your attacks can still be effective.

Strategic Maneuvering to Preserve Barriers

Sigma can attack while deploying a barrier, making it essential to fight with the goal of preventing barrier destruction. If the barrier is compromised, there will be a cooldown before it can be redeployed. Use Abilities judiciously to defend against attacks, especially when the barrier is at risk of being destroyed.

Utilize Accretion Generously and Proactively

Sigma's Accretion is a powerful Ability that inflicts substantial damage and knocks down enemies. Employ it actively in your strategy. Consider using Accretion to disrupt the movement of enemies during ultimates or against tank heroes. This proactive approach can be instrumental in controlling key moments of the battle.

Genji as the Counter-Pick for Sigma

Sigma's vulnerability lies in the slow rate of fire and bullet speed of his primary attack. To exploit this weakness, using Genji to approach Sigma from behind and launch an attack proves effective, minimizing the damage received.

Close Proximity with High Mobility

Sigma's strength lies in medium-range firepower and the stunning capability of Accretion. However, these abilities are challenging to execute at close range. It is advisable to utilize high-mobility characters like Genji to close in on Sigma, engaging in combat while evading his attacks.

Sigma excels at mid-range combat with his explosive main shots and barriers, yet close-range encounters leave him vulnerable. Collaborating with allies who possess knockback effects, such as Lucio's Soundwave and Brigitte's Whip Shot, proves effective. These abilities create distance between Sigma and his opponents, adding an extra layer of defense against close-range threats. Strategically utilizing knockback support enhances Sigma's survivability, allowing him to maintain control over engagements and contribute more effectively to the team's objectives.

Kinetic Grasp

Step forward when the barrier is about to break

Use Kinetic Grasp to maneuver and prevent the barrier from breaking. When the barrier is broken, it triggers a 5-second cooldown, creating a fatal vulnerability for an immobile Sigma. It is recommended to use Kinetic Grasp to buy time before the barrier breaks and restore its durability.

Absorb enemy ULTs

Use Kinetic Grasp to absorb enemy ULTs. ULTs that involve projectile shots can be absorbed regardless of damage, so be conscious of using Kinetic Grasp to intercept ULTs that cannot be fully blocked by the barrier or when allies are in a pinch.

Aim for the enemy's destination because the projectile is slow

It’s better to aim for the enemy's destination because Accretion’s projectile is slow. Accretion is an excellent ability that can knock back and stun, but it is difficult to hit due to the slow projectile speed. When Sigma performs the Accretion motion, the enemy will take evasive action, so practice aiming for their destination.

Understand the timing to hit

It's better to understand the timing to hit Accretion accurately. Although Accretion has the disadvantage of being slow, you can hit it reliably by targeting enemies with slow movement. It is recommended to aim for enemies who are using a slow movement ability or aiming down sights.

Experimental Barrier

Understanding the distance the barrier moves

When using the Experimental Barrier, hold down the button to grasp how far it moves. If you don't have a sense of how far it goes, you won't be able to deploy the barrier when you want to protect yourself or provide support, putting yourself in a tough situation.

Use it to support allies

Deploy the Experimental Barrier in front of distant allies to provide support. As Sigma is the only hero in Overwatch 2 who can deploy barriers anywhere, you can not only protect yourself but also support your teammates to gain an advantage in the game.

【ULT】Gravitic Flux

Target Floating Enemies with Gravitic Flux

Deploy the Gravitic Flux to target enemies in a floating state. Utilize Sigma's primary fire to inflict damage while they are suspended. When activating the ULT, Sigma gains the ability to float and move, making it advantageous to target support and damage heroes for potential eliminations.

Engage 3 or More Heroes

Strive to engage 3 or more heroes with Gravitic Flux. When enemies are caught in the flux, they remain suspended in the air for a specific duration, facilitating your teammates' ability to deal damage. As enemies take damage, they will be forcefully slammed to the ground, and the damage inflicted while lifted contributes to the total. This dynamic makes it easier to secure kills, especially when your team has a numerical advantage.
