Engage and fight the enemies up close

Reaper excels at close combat, so get up close and personal with the enemies. Since his main weapon is a shotgun, its power gradually decreases the farther away you are from the enemy. Even if your HP gets depleted at close range, dealing damage to the enemy will replenish Reaper's HP. Therefore, actively approach and engage in close-range combat.

Aim for flanking instead of head-on attacks

Instead of directly attacking from the front, Reaper can use abilities like Shadow Step to flank the enemy from their sides or rear, catching them off guard. Although Reaper wants to get close to maximize his firepower, going directly from the front will leave him vulnerable to long-range attacks and his HP will decrease. So, approach from the sides or rear and take advantage of Reaper's strength in close-range combat to defeat the enemies.

Damage the tanks and eliminate the backline

When using Reaper, the ideal strategy is to damage the tanks and force them to retreat, then flank around and eliminate the backline enemies. Since Reaper can deal high damage in close quarters, weakening the tanks from the front and causing them to fall back will give you an advantage. If you can retreat and eliminate the damaged tanks or support heroes, you can tilt the game in your favor by taking out the enemy's damage or support role.

Hanzo is the counter pick against Reaper

Reaper's weakness is that he cannot deal damage at medium to long range. Hanzo not only can attack Reaper from outside his range, but also has high mobility to easily maintain distance from Reaper. This makes Hanzo a good counter pick against Reaper.

Since Reaper is a close-range powerhouse, it is recommended to fight him from medium to long range. Characters like Pharah or Echo can attack from the air, allowing them to safely defeat Reaper without the risk of being flanked.

Wraith Form

Effective as a means of retreat

Wraith Form is effective as a means of retreat, utilizing 3 seconds of invincibility. Even if you disrupt the enemy camp during a flank, using Wraith Form allows you to safely retreat to your allies. It is recommended to use Wraith Form to retreat when your HP is low.

Can be used to increase firepower

Wraith Form can also be used to increase firepower, as it automatically reloads bullets upon activation. Wraith Form can be deactivated at will, so it is a versatile ability that can be used to quickly attack by avoiding enemy abilities or when the enemy's HP is low and your ammo is depleted.

Effective when used from a high position for surprise attacks

Death Blossom is most effective when used while falling from a high position. If you land in the middle of the enemy formation from above, you can deal significant damage to the surrounding area, and it will be difficult for the enemy to respond. Therefore, it is recommended to move to a high ground before using it.

Avoid using it from the front

It is advisable to avoid using Death Blossom from the front of the enemy. While it is activated, your movement speed decreases and you cannot take evasive actions. This makes you vulnerable to focused fire and interrupts your ultimate ability with other abilities. Instead of using it from the front, try to use it as a surprise attack.
