1. Log in to Battle.net from your browser
To change your name, log in to Battle.net with your registered account. It is recommended to log in from a PC or smartphone browser that is easier to navigate than directly accessing it from the console version. Any browser will work fine.

2. Open the Account Details Page
After logging in to Battle.net, select "Account Details" to open the details page. If you log in through the OW2 official website, you will need to select Account Settings and navigate to the overview page of your Battle.net account.
3. Changing your name in the BATTLETAG section
In the account details screen, enter the desired name in the "BATTLETAG" field. You can change your name for free only once.
Changing your name is only free the first time
You can change your BattleTag for free only once. From the second time onwards, you will need to purchase the BattleTag change option for 1,130 yen, so choose your name carefully when making changes.
How to Hide Your Real Name
Disabling Real ID
If your real name is being displayed when sending or receiving friend requests, you can disable the "Real ID" feature. After logging into Battle.net, you can access the privacy settings to configure your Real ID.
