How to Play with Friends
Inviting to a Group from Social
Inviter | Invitee |
---|---|
If you want to play with your friends, send them an invitation to join your group from the Social screen. Once they accept the invitation, you can play together as part of the same group.
Joining Across Different Platforms
When you receive and accept an invitation, you can play together even if you are not on the same platform/environment. However, please note that if you play together with the PC version and the console version, the console version's Aim Assist will be disabled, and you will be matched with PC players.
List of Compatible Platforms and How to Set Up Crossplay |
Selecting the Game Mode
Once the invitation from your friend is complete, choose the game mode you want to play. Note that only the group leader can make the selection, and in the case of roll queue, everyone must select their roles.
Troubleshooting when unable to add friends
Check if the versions are the same
If you are unable to join friends, check if both parties have the same version. If one of the versions is not up to date, make sure to update to the same one before attempting to join again.
Check Crossplay settings
If you are trying to party up with players on different platforms, you need to enable Crossplay in the Gameplay options. Note that this setting is not available on the PC version, so only check this for console platforms.
Join using the /invite command
If you are unable to join even with the same version, try typing "/invite BATTLETAG name" in the chat box to attempt joining through the command. Sometimes, even if you can't join through regular invites, you may be able to join using the command.
Both parties restart the game
If you have tried the above three methods and still cannot join, try restarting the game. Sometimes, after a restart, you may be able to join, so this is recommended as a last resort.
Check the tier difference if unable to play ranked matches
If you are unable to play ranked matches even after joining friends, check the difference in skill tier. If the rank difference is too large, you won't be able to play together.
