Moira proves to be an effective anti-pick against Genji, leveraging her primary attack that doesn't rely on precise aim. Her consistent damage output, along with the inability of Genji's Deflect to block Moira's attacks, makes Moira a suitable choice to win damage races against Genji.

Deflect

Safely Evade Using Deflect

Deflect is used to avoid being taken down. Genji is agile, but his HP is low, so he can be easily taken down under concentrated fire. When your HP is low, use Deflect to protect yourself while heading back to your teammates or grabbing a health pack.

Be cautious of beam attacks that cannot be deflected

While Deflect can reflect most attacks, it cannot deflect beam attacks like Zarya's primary attack. If the enemy team has a beam-based character as a countermeasure against Genji, your strategy will become more challenging. In that case, consider switching to a different character.

Swift Strike

Use it as a finishing blow

Use Swift Strike to finish off an enemy. It allows you to move forward and deal 50 damage to an enemy. It is useful against enemies that cannot be defeated with normal shots, allowing you to take them down without missing your shots.

Cooldown resets even if an ally gets the kill

If an ally kills an enemy that you have damaged with Swift Strike, the Cooldown will still reset. By coordinating well with your teammates, you can use the ability repeatedly. So, make sure not to miss the enemies that your teammates have damaged and finish them off.

Coordinate with Ally Ultimates

While Genji's Ultimate is potent on its own, its effectiveness reaches new heights when synchronized with support ultimates like Ana's or Zenyatta's. This combination creates an incredibly formidable force, overwhelming the enemy. Additionally, it synergizes well with crowd control ultimates like Zarya's, making it crucial to monitor your teammates' ultimate status and activate Dragonblade accordingly.

Corner Enemies with Swift Strike

Following the elimination of foes using powerful area attacks, leverage Swift Strike to close in on other enemies. Even if Swift Strike doesn't secure a kill, its cooldown resets upon eliminating an enemy with Dragonblade. As a result, managing Swift Strike becomes a seamless and impactful part of your strategy.

Ability Combo

This is the most frequently used combo when using Genji. It is effective in close combat situations and when instant damage is needed. If you can land a headshot with shurikens, you can kill enemies with 200 HP with just one combo.

Advanced Ability Combo

This is the most powerful and challenging combo among Genji's combos. It allows for a high instant damage and enables a solo kill on Tracer even without a headshot. It can also bring the damage and support of enemies to near death, so practice using this combo during matches.
