Potent Energy Javelin

Orisa's Energy Javelin is a formidable tool, not only reducing the target's HP upon impact but also delivering a powerful knockback. This versatile ability can be employed effectively at varying distances, often leading to swift eliminations, especially against low-HP targets who can be finished off with subsequent main weapon attacks post-knockback.

Frontline Resilience with Fortify

Activating Fortify grants Orisa a temporary boost in HP and immunity to movement impairment. Moreover, during Fortify's activation, her main weapon experiences significantly reduced heat generation, making her a versatile character capable of delivering instant firepower or facilitating a strategic retreat.

Limited Mobility and Retreat Options

Orisa lacks mobility-based abilities, making it challenging to evade attacks from highly mobile damage characters. Although Fortify offers a temporary boost in HP and the ability to retreat, Orisa may face difficulties sustaining herself, particularly without support from allies.

Frontline Control with Damage Output

Orisa excels at controlling the frontline while dealing substantial damage. Boasting the longest range among tanks, Orisa can efficiently deliver firepower. Actively absorb incoming attacks with your barrier while simultaneously dealing damage to enemies situated behind their frontlines.

Strategic Retreat during Ability Cooldowns

When Orisa's abilities are on cooldown, a strategic retreat is advisable. Without the ability to deploy her protective barrier and relying solely on health to withstand enemy assaults, Orisa becomes susceptible to focused fire when her abilities are unavailable. Seek cover and patiently wait for at least one ability to come off cooldown before reengaging in the frontline battle.

Countermeasures

Zenyatta Counters Zarya Effectively

Zenyatta proves to be a strong counter to Zarya. Zarya's vulnerability lies in her inability to deflect beam attacks with Javelin Spin, and her slow-moving main projectile can be easily countered by Zenyatta. Additionally, Zenyatta can absorb attacks with barriers, making the fight more favorable.

Opt for Beam Characters to Bypass Nullification

When facing Orisa, who nullifies projectile attacks with Javelin Spin, consider using beam characters that cannot be nullified. Beam attacks from characters like Zarya or Symmetra are effective against Orisa, as they bypass the nullification effect and deal damage more effectively.

Amplify Terra Surge Effectiveness with Support Synergy

Orisa's Ultimate ability, Terra Surge, can be further enhanced by coordinating with specific support heroes. Ana's Nano Boost is a powerful choice, significantly increasing Orisa's damage output during the ultimate, making it more challenging for enemies to withstand her attacks. Additionally, Lucio's Soundwave can be strategically employed to disrupt and prevent enemies from escaping the effects of Terra Surge. This support synergy not only boosts Orisa's offensive capabilities but also helps ensure the ultimate's impact is maximized for a more effective team strategy.

Energy Javelin

Aim towards the enemy’s destination while they are moving

The Energy Javelin is an excellent Ability that can hit enemies even when they are moving. However, its projectile speed is slow, making it difficult to hit the enemy even when aiming at them. Be conscious of the enemy’s trajectory and aim ahead of them for higher chances of hitting.

Shoot the stunned enemy

Using the Energy Javelin, shoot the stunned enemy. When the javelin hits, it knocks them back and causes them to be stunned, making it easier to hit them with Orisa's slow primary fire.

Most effective indoors or in confined spaces

Using the Energy Javelin is most effective indoors or in confined spaces. When the javelin hits, it deals 60 damage, and if it hits a wall, it adds an additional 40 damage, increasing its effectiveness. It is recommended to hit the enemy with the javelin indoors or in confined spaces and follow up with your primary fire to secure the kill.

Fortify

Use it at the start of battle

Use Fortify at the start of battle. It grants an additional 125 HP, allowing you to withstand enemy attacks. The additional HP does not directly affect your current HP, so you can allocate separate healing resources for support, which is an advantage.

Nullify knockbacks and sleep status

Using Fortify can nullify knockbacks and Ana's Sleep Dart. Not only does it prevent being knocked back and falling, but it also prevents the longest duration sleep status. If you feel in danger, use it immediately to avoid being stuck in a tough situation.

Javelin Spin

Can nullify enemy bullets

Javelin Spin can nullify enemy bullets when activated. It's not based on durability like a shield, so during the duration, all bullets from the front can be nullified regardless of damage. If the timing is right, even some ULTs can be nullified, but be aware that it doesn't apply to beam attacks.

Repel approaching enemies

Use Javelin Spin to repel approaching enemies. While activated, it constantly knocks back any enemies it touches, so be conscious of pushing back and protecting close-range characters when enemies approach your allies.

【ULT】Terra Surge

Penetrate Enemy Territory and Trigger ULT

Initiate Orisa's ULT by penetrating deep into enemy territory. Upon activation, it draws enemies toward you, and the more opponents you capture, the more formidable your firepower becomes. Utilize Javelin Spin to cut into the enemy territory, coordinating with support and damage teammates for a more impactful result.

Monitor Your Remaining HP

Exercise caution with your remaining HP when activating Orisa's ULT. While the ULT is active, damage received in Fortify state is reduced. However, if your HP is low, there's a risk of succumbing to concentrated fire before successfully triggering it. Stay mindful of your health to maximize the effectiveness of your ULT.
