Can restore status abnormality and invincibility
Kiriko can use “Protection Suzu” which recovers health, status ailments, and grants temporary invincibility to allies within range. The invincibility is only for a short time, but if used at the right moment can help allies avoid an ultimate move from an enemy.
Strong buff for all allies with ultimate
Kiriko’s ultimate, “Fox Running”, increases movement and attack speed of allies while shortening their cooldown time. This can help overwhelmingly when an ally blasts their ultimate for an advantage on the battlefield.
Recovery bullet speed is slow
The problem with Kiriko's recovery is that it is slow to reach allies. The number of recovery bullets itself can be recovered quickly, but since the bullet speed is slow, if an ally hides behind a wall, they will collide with the wall and will not be able to recover. Be conscious of healing near your allies rather than from a long distance.
Strategy Guide
Key Points for Strategy |
---|
Try to recover without leaving your allies, aim for a headshot with sub-fire, and use recovery and damage properly. |
Heal close to allies
Kiriko's healing ability can somewhat track allies, but since the bullets are slow, it takes time to reach them if they are far away. If allies hide behind walls before the healing reaches them, it won't work. So, let's make sure to stay close to allies while healing.
Aim for headshots with sub-shots
Let's aim for headshots with Kiriko's sub-shots. The sub-shots, as a means of attack, have a slow rate of fire, but they deal high damage with headshots. So, always aim for the head to inflict damage.
Balance healing and damage
Kiriko should balance between focusing on healing or dealing damage based on the situation. If the partner is a Sub-healer with lower healing power, prioritize healing and support. If there are no issues with HP, Kiriko can join the attacking allies and contribute to the offense as well. So, let's assess the situation to determine when to prioritize healing and when to deal damage.
Countermeasures
Anti-Pick is Genji
Kiriko's weaknesses are low damage from attacks other than headshots and slow attack speed. Genji's high mobility makes it difficult to aim for headshots, and he can quickly take out Kiriko with his high instantaneous firepower.

[Character Compatibility Chart |
Apply Pressure with High Mobility Characters
Kiriko has high healing and invincibility abilities, along with teleportation, making him a strong character. However, his main shooting has a slow rate of fire, and he can only deal damage with headshots. Therefore, use fast and agile characters like Genji or Tracer with small hitboxes to apply pressure and corner Kiriko.

Compatible Characters
Genji
Use Kiriko's Swift Step to quickly approach Genji, who has high mobility. Genji, in particular, can easily launch surprise attacks on enemies by taking advantage of his high mobility, but it can be difficult to support him when there are many walls separating you. Kiriko can use Swift Step to teleport to the highly mobile Genji, so let's go and provide support such as healing.

Tracer
Swiftly Support with Swift Step
Similar to Genji, Tracer is a highly mobile character who excels at launching surprise attacks on enemies and navigating the map. In situations where support is usually not possible due to walls, use Kiriko's Swift Step to teleport to Tracer and provide support through healing and dealing damage.

Effect of Swift Step | |||
---|---|---|---|
Invincibility duration | 0.25 seconds | Cooldown time | 7 seconds |
Effect | Teleports directly to where allies are and pass through walls. |
Rush to the aid of low HP allies
Use Swift Step to rush to the aid of allies with low HP. Kiriko's Healing Ofuda automatically tracks allies, but it cannot heal allies who are too far away or behind walls. It is recommended to use Swift Step to quickly reach and support allies with low HP.
Stick with the flankers
With Swift Step, you can easily support high-mobility flanker characters. The main flanker characters are Genji, Sombra, and Tracer. If they are on your team, prioritize sticking with them.
Protection Suzu
Effect of Protection Suzu | |||
---|---|---|---|
Healing Amount | 50 | Cooldown | 14 seconds |
Effect | ・Makes allies within the area invincible for 1 second ・Removes the following status ailments: Healing block, Sleep, Poison, Burn, Freeze, Hack, Junker Queen's ongoing damage, Stun, Zenyatta's Orb of Discord |
Protect Low HP Allies with Invincibility
Use Protection Suzu to protect allies with low HP who are at risk of being defeated. Grant invincibility to allies within the impacted area and also provide HP recovery. By rescuing allies who are about to be defeated, you can prevent being at a disadvantage in terms of numbers.
Recover from Abnormal Status
Use Protection Suzu to recover from abnormal status effects inflicted by enemies. Abilities such as Sombra's Hack or Ana's Sleep Dart that hinder recovery can be removed by using Protection Suzu. Since these abilities can put you at a disadvantage, it is important to remove them promptly.
Defend Against Enemy Ultimates
By using Protection Suzu effectively, you can protect yourself and your allies from enemy ultimates. While it may require precise timing against ultimates that deal high damage in a single blow rather than continuous damage, you can successfully withstand the ultimate without taking any damage.

Effective on straight roads
Kiriko's Fox Sprint is most effective when used on straight roads. When activated, it extends straight ahead, so its benefits are not fully realized on curved roads. Activate your ULT on a straight road to maximize its benefits.
Check ally ultimate Charge status before using
Use Fox Sprint after checking your ally's ultimate Charge status. Fox Sprint can grant powerful buffs to allies, but Kiriko and Fox Sprint itself do not have the power to turn the tide of a situation. Check if your allies have charged their powerful moves and cooperate to achieve victory.
