Stop the Flankers

Flankers

Pick Mei to stop the Flankers when they are causing havoc. Mei's primary fire slows down the movement speed of enemies, making it easier to catch high-mobile Flankers. Take an aggressive approach in targeting the Flankers.

Only Move Forward when Ability is Available

When using Mei, make sure to move forward only when the Ability's cooldown is finished. Mei has high hindrance capabilities with reduced movement speed and obstruction through ice walls. However, if you move forward without the Ability available, you will be highly vulnerable and likely to be defeated. Wait for the cooldown to finish before engaging in battles.

Aim Sub-Freeze at Enemy's Next Move

Shoot Mei's Sub-Freeze toward where the enemy is about to move. The Sub-Freeze is Mei's only long-range attack, but it takes time to launch, making it difficult to hit enemies directly. Aim at where the enemy will be moving to increase the chances of hitting them. Predict their movement and take the shot.

Anti-Pick is Sojourn

The weakness of Mei is that it is difficult to hit her with long-range sub attacks. Sojourn has an advantage in winning the damage race at medium to long range, and if you can hit her with "Disruptor Shot" after using Mei's recovery ability "Cryo-Freeze," you can easily defeat her.

Defeat her without getting close

Mei's primary shots have a short range, and her secondary shots have a slow firing rate, making her weak against long-range attacks. Her primary shots have a slowing effect, so it is recommended to defeat her safely from a distance rather than engaging in close-quarters combat.

Avoid using it after your team is completely wiped out

It's best to avoid using Cryo-Freeze after your team is completely wiped out. Even if Mei is the only one left alive after your team is wiped out, she will be quickly surrounded and defeated, causing further delay in regrouping and rendering her unable to attack. If your team has been completely wiped out, it's better to accept defeat gracefully.

Protect Your Team by Blocking Enemy Line of Fire

Use Ice Wall to block the enemy's line of fire and protect your team. If you are positioned on a high ground and getting shot at from above, your team is more likely to get hit. Therefore, it is recommended to use Ice Wall to block the line of fire.

Divide the Enemy Tanks

Use Ice Wall to divide the enemy tanks from the rest of their team. If you are in a narrow passage, block the tanks' retreat path with a wall and focus fire on the isolated tank to easily take them down.

Defend Your Team from Enemy Ultimates

Use Ice Wall to defend your team from enemy ultimates. Ice Wall can create a barrier in front, protecting your team from enemy ultimates.

Throw it into the middle of the enemy group

Throw it in the middle of the enemy group with Blizzard and freeze the enemy. The effect range spreads in a circular shape from the thrown Turret, so throwing it into the middle of the enemy formation can effectively freeze the enemy.

Use Ice Wall to seal off the escape route

When using Blizzard, it is recommended to seal off the escape route with Ice Wall beforehand. When enemies see Mei's Blizzard, they will try to retreat and get out of the range, but if you seal off the escape route with a wall, they will be unable to move and you can trap more enemies.
