Learning How to Use the Capture Bag and The Breeding Ground

As you progress in "The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom," you will obtain the Capture Bag and the Breeding Ground. The Capture Bag is an item that allows you to capture magical creatures on the map. The captured creatures can be raised in the Breeding Ground in "The Room of Requirement." It's useful for collecting materials to enhance your equipment and synthesize potions, so get familiar with it while advancing through quests.

Captured Magical Creatures Can Also Be Sold

Captured magical creatures can be sold for 120 Galleons each at "Brood and Peck" in Hogsmeade . This can be a useful way to earn money in the mid to late game, so if you run out of funds, it's a good idea to capture magical creatures on the map with the Capture Bag and sell them.

Go to The Room of Requirement and Talk to Deek

To start "The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom," go to The Room of Requirement and talk to Deek. It is recommended to select "Secret Room" at the top of the Hogwarts map and fast travel directly.

Capture Puffskein with the Capture Bag

After talking to Deek and moving outdoors, equip the "Capture Bag" you received in the magic set and capture Puffskein. Simply approach it, use the "Capture Bag," and press the □ button at the right timing while looking at the yellow circle.

Move and Capture Jobberknoll

Next, move to the Jobberknoll's nest on the west side of the map using a broom and capture Jobberknoll. Since Jobberknoll moves quickly and can easily escape the range of the Capture Bag, it is recommended to use Levioso to stop its movement before preparing the Capture Bag.

Move and Capture Mooncalf

After capturing Jobberknoll, move further west towards the Mooncalf nest. Mooncalf can only be captured by inputting the □ button three times. They're prone to escaping, so it's a good idea to immobilize them with Levioso, just like with Jobberknoll.

Kill Time Until Nightfall

The Mooncalf and Jobberknoll only appear at night, so if you visit during the day, either progress with other quests or press R3 on the map and "Wait" to pass the time. The "Wait" function is unlocked when you open the map in a classroom with a scheduled class.

Release Captured Animals in the Breeding Ground

After capturing magical creatures, return to The Room of Requirement to unlock the "Breeding Ground" feature and enter the breeding ground by passing through the arch. Once inside the breeding ground, press R1 to open "Animal Management" and release the three types of magical creatures to progress the story.

Obtain Materials from the Three Animals

Next, equip the "Animal Feed" and "Brush" in the magical set. Approach the summoned magical creatures and feed them and brush them to obtain materials from the interact menu.

Upgrading and Enchanting With the Loom

Once you have collected the materials, leave the breeding area and use the incantation craft to summon the "Enchanted Loom". Use the materials to upgrade and enchant your equipment, and the quest will be completed.
