Tomes and Tribulations Walkthrough Chart

Go to Professor Fig's classroom

Tomes and Tribulations is a short main quest where you only need to have a conversation with Professor Fig in his classroom. The quest becomes available after the excursion of the library's Forbidden Section. Fast travel to Professor Fig's classroom in the Astronomy Tower.

Show the Book to Professor Fig

When you arrive at Professor Fig's classroom, talk to him and show him the book. After watching the cutscene triggered by talking to him, the quest will be completed, and the next main quests, Herbology Class and The Girl from Uagadou, will be available.

Progress through the main story in a series of 4 quests

After clearing Tomes and Tribulations, Herbology Class and The Girl from Uagadou will begin and clearing each quest will also trigger Potions Class"and Trials of Merlin. Clear all 4 main quests to advance in the story.
