How to Upgrade Gear

Investigate the incantation craft "Enchanted Loom"

To perform gear upgrades, first investigate the "Enchanted Loom" in The Room of Requirement. The Enchanted Loom can be obtained during the progression of the main quest "The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom".

Choose Gear of "Superb" Quality or Higher

Once you have investigated the Enchanted Loom, hover over gears with "Superb", "Extraordinary", or "Legendary" quality. Gears with "Standard" and "Well-Appointed" quality are not upgradable. So it is recommended to prioritize high-quality gear from various enemies and treasure chests.

Upgrading With The □ Button

Once you have selected the gear you want upgraded, press the □ button to consume magical creature materials and upgrade it. By enhancing your gear with magical creature materials, you will be able to raise the gear's base stats.

Materials Can be Obtained From Magical Creatures

The materials required for upgrading can be obtained by taking care of magical creatures in The Room of Requirement. You can also catching materials from magical creature nests located in various places. "Brood and Peck" located in the Southeast of Hogsmeade also has purchasable materials.

Adding Abilities With the △ Button

Another way to enhance your gear is assigning abilities to them. Press the △ button to add abilities that you possess. There's no need to conserve adding abilities to your gear, since they require no consumption of limited resources. It is recommended to be proactive in adding them.

Obtainable From Challenges and Outlaw Camps

Abilities can be obtained by completing challenges or from treasure chests in outlaw camps. If you want to acquire new abilities, progress through challenges in the battle category and conquer outlaw camps located in various places.

Unlocking Gear Upgrades

Unlocked During the Progress of "The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom"

Gear upgrades can be unlocked while progressing through the main quest "The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom". By clearing this quest you will be able to unlock gear upgrades and receive recommended captures of magical creatures to aid in gold farming. Prioritize advancing the main quest to earn more gold and upgrade your strength quicker.

Benefits of Gear Upgrades

Strengthening Stats

Upgrades allow you to strengthen the base stats of your gear. Each gear comes with only an attack stat or a defense stat. Once upgraded, your gear can add a second stat. You can even enhance the stat received from upgrading by collecting more materials from magical creatures.

Granting Advantages in Battle

Gear upgrades also allow you to grant special abilities that give you advantages in battle. These abilities can enhance the power of specific magic or reduce damage taken from certain enemies. There are no drawbacks other than the consumption of materials, so it is recommended to equip armor with special abilities whenever possible.

Only One Ability Can Be Granted Based on Slot Level

Abilities have three levels, and only one can be granted based on the slot level of the gear. Legendary gear has the highest slot level of 3, allowing you to grant more powerful abilities.
