The Unicorn can only be captured at its nest located to the east of the Forbidden Forest. To reach the Unicorn's nest, use the East North Ford Bog Entrance Floo Flame and go South towards the then. Keep in mind that the Unicorn only appears at this location.

Tips to Catch Unicorns

Capture by using spells to immobilize

Spell	Use
Disillusionment	Approach the animal without being noticed
Levioso	Levitate the animal to immobilize it
Arresto Momentum	Slow down the movement of the animal
Accio	Pull the animal closer when it is far away

It is recommended to capture unicorns by using spells to immobilize them. Approach slowly using Disillusionment, then use Levioso to levitate them, and finally cast Arresto Momentum to capture them reliably.

Respawn Procedure

Some magical beasts may respawn if you change the time of day and then save and load. If you want to capture a large number of beasts at once, try using the method of repeatedly changing the time of day and then saving and loading.

Lower the Difficulty to Story Mode

By lowering the difficulty to Story Mode, it becomes easier to capture magical beasts. If you want to quickly and reliably capture a Unicorn, it is recommended to change the difficulty to Story Mode in the menu before going to its nest.
