The ending changes depending on your choices before the final boss
The ending of The Final Repository and some post-game quests can vary depending on the choices made in the event just before the boss battle. Once you clear it, you won't be able to see the different outcomes. If you want to check both endings, make sure to save after Professor Hecat uses the floating spell on the three goblins.

It's easier if you learn Avada Kedavra in advance
On the way to the final boss battle, a large number of trolls with large HPs will appear, making it easy to get stuck. If you have enough time, progress through Sebastian's relationship quest and learn the strongest curse, Avada Kedavra, which can defeat enemies in one hit.

Talk to Professor Fig in the Map Chamber
To start The Final Repository, talk to Professor Fig in the Map Chamber. An entrance to the underground will appear, continue forward while talking to the professor.
Defeat the Enemies
When you proceed to the Map Chamber, you will encounter continuous battles. Work together with the professors who have come to help and defeat them. Note that although the goal is to reach the repository before Runelock, there is no time limit, so it is safe to take your time in defeating the enemies.
If you are having trouble eliminating the enemies, make use of Transformation. By turning them into wooden boxes or explosive barrels and using Ancient Magic Throw, you can defeat more than two enemies at once with a single spell. Imperio and Avada Kedavra are also effective in reducing the number of enemies, so if you have learned them, be sure to use them.
Replenish Your Wiggenweld Potions
When defeating enemies along the way, they will drop a large amount of Wiggenweld Potions. It is recommended to pick up as many as 25, the maximum capacity, in preparation for the final boss battle.

I want the power for myself | Evil Ending |
After defeating enemies and progressing through the Keepers' Caverns, a conversation with Professor Fig will occur in front of the door. Choosing "I intend to open it" and "I want the power for myself" will lead to the Evil Ending, while choosing any other options will lead to your character cooperating with Professor Fig. Both endings only have slight variations in the cutscene, so choose according to your preference.
If you want to see both endings, it is recommended to save after Professor Hecat uses the floating spell on three goblins. The cutscene will continue once the next battle starts, and you won't be able to save until the moment the final boss battle begins.
Is there also a route where Professor Fig survives?
It was mentioned that the character's life or death can be determined by the choices and paths you take, so there is a high possibility that there's a way for Professor Fig to survive. If you want to see him survive and witness the ending, try changing your choices or clearing other quests to discover other outcomes.

Defeat the Final Boss and Watch the Ending
When you head to the deepest part of the area, Ranrok will appear, and after the event, you will enter a battle with the final boss. Destroy the orbs to disable the barrier and steadily reduce its HP to defeat it. If you destroy all the orbs in the fifth phase, the battle will end and the ending cutscene will play.

How to Defeat the Final Boss
Strategy Points to Defeat Ranrok |
---|
Breaking the barrier is the most important in the final boss battle |
Avoid the red shockwaves from the second phase |
Avoid close-range ground attacks on the fourth phase |
Enhance recovery efficiency with talents if unable to defeat |
Breaking the Barrier is the Key to the Final Boss Battle
State with Barrier | State after Barrier Breaks |
---|---|
When Ranrok is surrounded by a red-black barrier, it completely nullifies the player's attacks. Destroying the floating orbs around the final boss will remove the barrier, so destroy the orbs with spells of the same color before inflicing damage on the boss.
Note that on difficulty levels Normal and above, the barrier will regenerate after a certain amount of time has passed since the destruction of the orbs. Since it is necessary to break the barrier multiple times, battles can be prolonged, so it's recommended to strengthen your gear for your damage and defense to be sustainable in a long battle.

In the second phase, make sure you dodge the red shockwaves
When you reduce the boss's HP to about 75%, it will escape to the north side of the map. Chase after it while defending against its attacks to transition to the second phase. Destroy two orbs to disable the barrier and continue reducing its HP.
In the second phase, the boss will release red shockwaves centered around itself, attacking a wide area. It releases the shockwaves immediately after folding its wings in the air, so observe its attack motion and dodge away to avoid getting hit.
Be cautious of close-range ground attacks in the fourth phase.
In the fourth phase, the boss will land on the ground and attack using both close-range and magic attacks. The basic strategy remains the same as in the previous phases but be cautious of close-range attacks and destroy barriers as needed to deal damage.
Note that close-range attacks have a wide area of effect and are difficult to distinguish from other movements. If you want to efficiently defeat the boss, it's recommended to avoid close combat and instead fight it with long-range spells like Protego or Ancient Magic Throw.
Strengthen the effects of Wiggenweld Potion
Talent | Required Level/Effect |
---|---|
Wiggenweld Potency I |
【Required Level】5【Effect】 Enhances the healing effect of Wiggenweld Potion |
Wiggenweld Potency II |
【Required Level】16【Effect】 Enhances the healing effect of Wiggenweld Potion |
Ranrok has many attack patterns with quick animations, making them difficult to dodge. If you can't defeat it because your HP is too low, use talent points to improve your Wiggenweld Potions and enhance your recovery. If you have both levels 1 and 2, you can fully restore your HP with just one Wiggenweld Potion.
