How to Unlock: The Hippogriff Marks the Spot

Find Henrietta's Map in Poidsear Castle

The Hippogriff Marks the Spot begins when you find Henrietta's Map in Poidsear Castle. Confringo and Glacius are required to complete the quest, so if you haven't unlocked them yet, proceed with the main quest first.

Walkthrough: The Hippogriff Marks the Spot

Head to Henrietta's Hideaway at Manor Cape

First, let's go to Henrietta's Hideaway marked on the map. Fast travel from West Manor Cape. It will take you to Henrietta's Hideaway.

Light the bonfire at the foot of the statue on the left.

Use Confringo to light the bonfire at the foot of the stone statue on the left. Incendio can also be used to light a fire.

Move the block with Accio

The block that appear can be moved using Accio, so move them to the appropriate pedestal. There is no need to move the block on the right.

Use target magic on dice

Use Confringo on the left block and Glacius on the right block. If you succeed, the door will open and then you can proceed.

Defeat a group of Ashwinders

As you go through the door, there will be a group of Ashwinders, so defeat them. Since there are a lot of them, use Target Lock to reduce their number one by one.

Light the bonfire surrounding the statue according to the map

When you light the bonfires lined up around the stone statue as shown on the map, the door will open. If a fire is lit in a place where you don't need it, you can use Glacius to extinguish it.

Open the treasure chest in the open passage

If you correctly light the fire around the stone statue, a treasure chest will appear, so open it. Inside the chest is a "Treasure-Seeker's Gloves."

Reward

Treasure-Seeker's Gloves

You will receive the Treasure-Seeker's Gloves as reward for clearign the quest. It is a cosmetic item, so they have no effect on your status. However, it is a valuable item, so be sure to get it.

180 XP

The reward for this quest is +180 XP. XP is required to level up, so make use of side quests to earn XP.
