Talk to Poppy in the Forbidden Forest

To start Fire and Vice, first meet Poppy in the Forbidden Forest at the northern part of the world map. Fast travel to San Bakar's Tower and head west using a broom or a Hippogriff.

Investigate Traces of Poachers at the Camp

After the conversation, proceed along the path with Poppy until you encounter Centaurs. At the poachers' camp ahead, use Revelio to investigate 3 traces of poachers.

Defeat the poachers and head towards the tent in the back

After searching for clues, eliminate the poachers in the square and make your way towards the tent in the back of the area. Since the enemies are scattered, it is recommended to take out the poachers near the entrance one by one using Petrificus Totalus.

Use Reparo to repair the bridge if it breaks

If you engage the poachers head-on, there is a chance that the bridge will break during battle. If the bridge breaks and you can't proceed, use Reparo to repair the bridge and continue forward.

Proceed through Horntail Hall

Once you reach Horntail Hall inside the tent, defeat the patrolling enemies with Petrificus Totalus and continue straight ahead. Since there are only a few enemies, if you find it troublesome to use Disillusionment, you can also push through with brute force.

Retrieve the dragon egg with Alohomora

After the cutscene, proceed further and collect the dragon egg in the cage. To unlock the cage, cast Alohomora and move the green light to the left and the red light to the bottom left.

Battle against poachers near the captured dragon

After obtaining the dragon egg, proceed to the back of the room where you will engage in a battle with the fanatics who are harming the dragon. Use Petrificus Totalus to eliminate the enemies on the ground and reduce their numbers. Then, defeat the enemies perched in high places and the Poacher Animagus.

Defend against surprise attacks from outside your field of vision with Protego

The Poacher Animagus and the fanatics launch troublesome surprise attacks from outside your field of vision. Most of these surprise attacks can be defended against with Protego. It is recommended to use shorter combos than usual and maneuver while avoiding hits with Protego.

Use Accio on the pedestal to release the dragon

After the battle, head towards the pedestal and use Accio to release the dragon. This will trigger a conversation with Poppy and the quest will be cleared.
