Troll Lair
Trolls appear in various Troll Lairs located throughout the map. However, the number of trolls that appear in each lair is limited to one, so excessive hunting is not possible. Additionally, the Troll Lair is deep within the Forbidden Forest, making it time-consuming to reach on foot. Therefore, it is recommended to use a broom or a mount to fly directly into the lair.
Near the entrance of the North Ford Bog
The North Ford Bog Entrance Floo Flame is the nearest to the lair. Fast travel to that location to make troll hunting easier.
By the River in the North Ford Bog
River Trolls appear along the river, downstream from Pitt-Upon-Ford in the North Ford Bog. Although they are distinguished from regular trolls, they still drop Troll Bogeys, so if you want to collect some, try hunting River Trolls.
Near the San Bakar's Tower
The San Bakar's Tower Floo Flame is the nearest to the lair. Fast travel to that location to easily find the River Troll.
South of the Coastal Cavern and its Surrounding Areas
In the southern part of the map, starting from the Coastal Cavern, trolls can be found in various locations. There are significantly more trolls here compared to the northern part of the map, making it an ideal hunting ground for completing troll hunting challenges.

Remember the swinging pattern of the club
The troll's attack of swinging the club follows a fixed pattern. After dodging two consecutive horizontal swings, there is an opportunity to use Protego against the vertical swing. Remember to use Protego on the third attack for continuous attacks.
Hit the club on the head with Ancient Magic
Dueling feats against trolls include hitting the club on the head. By using Ancient Magic, you can hit the club that the troll is holding. So, actively use Ancient Magic to complete dueling feats.

Reflect the thrown rocks
Dueling feats against trolls may also include reflecting thrown rocks. After using Protego, you can use Ancient Magic Throw to reflect the rocks. Be careful not to hold Protego for too long as there is a high chance of not being able to react in time for the rock to collapse if Stupefy is used in between.

The best way to deal damage in Troll battles is to take advantage of the opening after the Troll tackles. The Troll has a long recovery time, making it easy to deal damage freely. After avoiding the tackle, unleash your most powerful attacks.
How to Obtain Troll Bogeys
Obtained by Enemy Drops
Troll Bogeys can be obtained by defeating Trolls or River Trolls. While you can also purchase them at the shop, it is recommended to defeat Trolls if you want to save money.
Purchase at the Potion Shop
Troll Bogeys can be purchased at J. Pippin's Potions. If you want to quickly gather potion ingredients, it is recommended to buy them at the shop. However, they cost 100 Galleons for 5 pieces, so consider your financial situation before making a purchase.
