How to Make Potions

Clear Potions Class

In order to make potions, you must first clear the main quest "Potions Class."

Potion Brewing in The Room of Requirement

Potions Classroom	The Room of Requirement

The Potions Classroom and the Room of Requirement are the places you can brew potions. However, you must first clear the main quest "The Room of Requirement" to unlock your own potions station. If you have a large number of potions to make, you can brew potions simultaneously in the Potions Classroom and in the Room of Requirement.

Gather Ingredients for Your Potions

Collect your ingredients and buy your potion recipes at J. Pippin's Potions after clearing the main quest "Potions Class." Head to the Potions Classroom in the annex of the library. From there, choose from the 7 total potions that can be brewed.

Waiting For Synthesis to Complete

After gathering all your ingredients, you will begin synthesizing the potion. There is a waiting time when synthesizing potions, however it's not as long as plant cultivation. This makes it easier for you to continuously synthesize until you reach the desired number of potions.

Synthesizing in the Hopping Pot

You can also synthesize potions in a "Hopping Pot" which you can place inside The Room of Requirement. If you have enough spare gold, consider purchasing a The Hopping Pot at Tomes and Scrolls and place it in The Room of Requirement. This is because The Hopping Pot allows the player to generate one potion at random for 12 minutes each without consuming any ingredients.

How to Use Potions

Set the Potion in the Slot by Holding Down L1

To use a potion you must first set it in a slot by holding down the L1 button. The L1 button allows you to check the potions and plants you have usable in battle. Select the potion you desire by tapping the L1 button for use.

Use the Potion by Tapping L1

Once you have set the magic potion in the slot by holding down L1, you may now use your potion in battle. Tap the L1 button to use the potion when needed. Using potions and plants allows you to boost your character's stats and make effective attacks against enemies.

Enhance with the Talent "The Room of Requirement"

We recommend enhancing the talent "The Room of Requirement" for more effective potions and plants. An enhanced potion can give you an edge in tricky situations. Enhance your talent "The Room of Requirement" especially if you are focused on using potions and plants in battle.
