Recommended Spell Sets

Unforgivable Curse Set

A set exclusively for Death Eaters, consisting of the Unforgivable Curses and Expelliarmus. It is recommended to use it right at the beginning of a battle, as it can quickly reduce the number of enemies, regardless of their size. The slot for Expelliarmus can be replaced with any curse that can be cast using Dark Arts Talents.

In the Death Eater set, start by using Imperio to reduce enemies, then use Crucio to curse another enemy. If you have the talent, you can use Basic Cast after Crucio to curse multiple enemies, and then finish them off with Avada Kedavra.

Spell Set for Large Enemies

A spell set designed for controlling and overpowering large enemies or formidable foes. After stunning them with Protego or using a gimmick to make them faint, quickly follow up with Glacius and aim for a heavy damage with Diffindo. Additionally, it is recommended to combine Confringo and Bombarda with three Basic Casts.

Spell Set for Exploration and Small Enemies

This is a recommended spell set for dealing with small enemies while exploring. It consists of Accio, Depulso, Incendio, which are frequently used in exploration, and Transformation, which has a powerful effect against small enemies.

Use Transformation against small enemies whenever it's available and maximize damage with Ancient Magic Throw. While Transformation is on cooldown, it's recommended to deal damage with Accio-Incendio combo or Depulso into Basic Cast combo.

Capture Spell Set

A spell set used for capturing beassts. Approach with Disillusionment, stop the creature's movement with Levioso, and finish with the Capture Bag. This set ensures a successful capture of any beast except Graphorns. When earning money through hunting beasts, it's recommended to prepare a capture set.

How to Increase Slots

[1] Clear the main quest Jackdaw's Rest

To expand your spell slots, you need to progress through the main story and clear Jackdaw's Rest. Clearing Jackdaw's Rest will unlock the your character's Talents system, and you'll be able to expand your spell slots by increasing your Talents.

[2] Acquire the core talent "incantation knowledge"

After clearing Jackdaw's Rest and unlocking the Talents, learn the talent Spell Knowledge in the core category. Acquiring this will increase the number of spells that can be set by one. Slots are increased by 2 at level 5 and by 1 at level 16, for a total of 4 slots.

[3] Increase to a maximum of 16 sets of 4x4, the largest size

The spell set has a maximum of 4 sets, with 4 assigned to each set. Therefore, the maximum number of spells that can be set is 16, with a 4x4 configuration. To set 16 spells, you need to reach level 16, which is a requirement to max your core talent. Complete quests and keep exploring to level up.

How to use Spells

Press R2 while pressing the spell button

To activate spells, press the corresponding button for the spell you want to use while holding down R2. When you want to use Basic Cast, simply input R2 quickly and it should cast automatically.

Switch palettes with R2 and the directional buttons

If you have unlocked palettes, you can switch them by pressing R2 and the directional buttons. As you progress through the story, you can increase the number of palettes up to a maximum of 4 large ones, allowing you to switch between a total of 16 spells during combat.
