How to Change Appearance

Select the gear you want to change the appearance of and press the □ button

To change the appearance of your gear, navigate to the gear you want to change the appearance of on the gear menu and press the □ button. If you have appearances, you can change them at any time regardless of game progress.

Select the gear with your preferred appearance and press the × button

Once you switch to the Change Appearance screen, select your preferred appearance and press the × button. If you want to remove the appearance, you can revert to the original appearance by pressing the × button on the same screen.

How to Hide Gear

Select gear you want to hide

If you want to make any gear, including headgear, to be hidden, select the icon with the circle-backslash symbol on it. Your gear's stats will be maintained but nothing will be displayed in terms of appearance.

Points to Note for Appearance Changes

Performance remains unchanged from the equipped items

Even if you change the appearance, the stats of the gear will remain the same as the originally equipped ones. This system only changes the character's appearance, so enjoy it as a cosmetic feature rather than a character enhancement.

Changing gear resets the appearance as well

When you change the gear that you have performed appearance changes on, the appearance will also be reset to the newly equipped one. If you want to have a fixed appearance, you will need to change the appearance every time you change the gear, which can be time-consuming.

How to Obtain More Appearances

Purchase from shops

Once you obtain gear, it will be added to the Change Appearance list. If you have a preferred gear appearance at the shop, purchase it without worrying about the stats, and change the appearance from the gear menu to progress through the game in style.

Obtain from treasure chests

Gear can also be obtained from treasure chests placed in maps and dungeons. Since there is a limit to the number of gear that can be possessed at once, it is recommended to complete the Trials of Merlin and unlock all gear slots.

Complete challenges

Appearances can be obtained as rewards for challenges. Challenges are divided into five categories such as quests and explorations, so it is recommended to progress through the main quest while simultaneously working on various challenges.

Clear quests

Appearances can be obtained by clearing quests. Quests that allow you to obtain appearances are listed in the rewards section, and there is also a possibility of obtaining new gear from treasure chests while you clear them.

From DLCs

Buying DLCs like the Dark Arts Pack can reward you with cosmetic sets. Make sure you check them out and buy them if you're interested.

How to check owned gear appearances

You can check them in the appearance section of your collection.

You can confirm the appearances that have already been unlocked from the appearance section at the center of the top row of the collection. In order to obtain the Collector's Edition Trophy, it is necessary to have all the appearances available in the game.
