How to Unlock: Rescuing Rococo

Talk to Agnes Coffey

The side quest, "Rescuing Rococo," is unlocked by talking to Agnes Coffey in Bainburgh. It is also necessary to acquire the nab-sack, so proceed with the main quest and learn how to capture beasts before attempting this side quest.

Walkthrough: Rescuing Rococo

Talk to Agnes

Talk to Agnes Coffey in Bainburgh. You will be asked to rescue Rococo. Head to Henrietta's Hideaway where Rococo is.

Visit Henrietta's Hideaway

Visit Henrietta's Hideaway. Navigate your way using the map. Once you arrive, go inside through the entrance at the bottom of the stairs.

Light the statue on the left.

Use Confringo to light the bonfire at the foot of the stone statue on the left. Incendio can be used to light the statue.

Move the block using Accio

The block that appear can be moved using Accio, so move them to the appropriate pedestal. There is no need to move the block on the right.

Use Confringo and Glacius on the target

Use Confringo on the left block and Glacius on the right dice. This will open the door so you can proceed.

Defeat a group of Ashwinders

As you go through the door, there will be a group of Ashwinders. Defeat them all. Since there are a lot of them, use Target Lock to reduce their number one by one.

Place the bonfire on the floor with the trap

The floor that returns to its original position when stepped on can be solved by using Accio on the nearby bonfire. It will return to its original state over time, so try to pass through it while it is still moving.

Move the block on the second floor

Use Accio to move the block on the second floor of the Great Hall to the pedestal on the first floor. Use Revelio to easily locate the block which will be displayed in blue.

Move the block inside the hidden room

Move the block in the hidden room to the corresponding pedestal using Accio. The hidden room will appear when you approach the wall behind the pedestal where you place the block. You can use Revelio to locate the block.

Use Confringo and Levioso on the target block

Use Levioso on the block on the second floor. Cast Confringo or Incendio on the block in the hidden room. This will open the door so you can proceed.

Rescue Rococo

Rococo is in the room beyond the opened door. You can capture him there. After capturing him, return to Bainburgh.

Report back to Agnes

Report back to Agnes.Please note that the reward will change depending on the choices you make at the time of reporting.

If you do not return Rococo

If you do not return Rococo, you will no longer be able to purchase from Agnes. There is no benefit in keeping Rococo as there is no difference from other Nifflers.

Reward

Niffler Fur-Lined Hat

You will receive the Niffler Fur-Lined Hat as a reward. It is a cosmetic item, so it has no effect on your stats. However, it's a valuable item, so be sure to get it.

180 XP

The reward for this quest is +180 XP. XP is required to level up, so make use of side quests to earn XP.
